EAGLE KART RACING ENGINES: FIRST AMERICAN RACING ENGINE SINCE THE OFFY
Long Beach, California — The Eagle racing engine is the first American racing engine since the Offenhauser. Eagle Racing Engines is dedicated to manufacturing a line of purpose-built four-stroke, overhead camshaft kart racing engines for world consumption, in conjunction with the American performance racing industry. The company has already produced several prototypes and it has setup permanent facilities in Southern California. The reason for choosing this location is simple said Jean Genibrel director of Eagle Racing Engines: “The Southern California region includes most of the PRI manufacturers we aim to bring in as our “Official Suppliers” and possible partners/investors.

The engines are of 250cc’s, with single overhead camshaft and four valves; they are equipped with a dry sump system, and full roller crankshaft assembly. The Eagle engines are currently available in two configurations, one with 31 horsepower, and another with 40 horsepower.

There are three motives underlying the new four-stroke project. Chief among them is that the karting industry can benefit from attracting new drivers from outside of karting. The Eagle engine program is sure to revive the interest in American karting.

To reveal the second motive Genibrel added: “In the last century, racing and karting have traditionally been the leaders in innovations and advances in many automotive related fields. Today, “image is everything,” and our new engine will establish an image for American karting and America as leaders in engine design and it will place America on the map of International Open Wheel racing.”

The third motive is fueled by the reality that karting is the last form of motor racing that has yet to completely follow the four-stroke avenue. Genibrel articulated: “Having been deeply involved in the performance racing industry as well as karting, I have identified the need for modern four-stroke engines in karting as a means to develop a working relationship between karting and the American performance racing industry. Performance enthusiasts and car racers are well versed in four-stroke technology. I believe this will open a lot of doors for a lot of people.” Such a relationship would help in placing American karting alongside the other forms of world open wheel racing.

Eagle Racing Engines recently formed a working relationship with Stephan Cherban, a prominent engine designer to produce the prototypes. Cherban has worked for such engine firms as Audi, Sodemo and the Renault F1 engine project, as well as several European rally race engine builders. The relationship is sure to prove highly valuable by combining Cherban’s engine design and manufacturing expertise, with Eagle Racing Engine’s American style marketing in the search for investors and relationships with the manufacturers in the American Performance Racing Industry.

The Eagles are ready for production. “We have tested and raced several prototypes. We look forward to beginning full operations by the end of summer of 2005.” said Jean Genibrel.

To illustrate the potential of the project Genibrel added: “While the engines are built for kart racing and we had strong response from that arena, we are also encouraged by a powerful reaction from other industries. We have had manufacturers of small race cars, aircraft, and ATVs also contact us to possibly power their craft.”

Genibrel is seeking to forge relationships with companies of the American Performance Racing Industry (see PRI.COM) to produce each component of the engine, and to name the companies as the official supplier for their product. As Jean said: “It makes no sense in this country to design an engine part and have it custom made. I don’t want to design an exhaust system for example, and have it built in China by some company that may, or may not specialize in this type of component, when Borla Exhaust has been doing this very successfully for all the forms of motor racing for many years. We know the companies from the American PRI, and we know they can do the job better than any other country. What’s more is that those companies understand the benefits that marketing to a young global audience with our engine line and karting will have on their image and bottom-line.”

The new engine project not only offers a fresh market for the manufacturers, but it is also an invaluable marketing tool to open global doors to the industry, and to inculcate mechanical values and brand awareness in youth.

The current goals of the company include locating investors, and to identify partners/suppliers from the American performance racing industry. Das Teil wurde doch vorletztes Jahr auf der IKA ausgestellt und war gar nicht mal so teuer.

ja, das steht doch auch da...... Low Price...High Performance....

die werden nur nicht hier rüber gekommen sein.......

weiss der teufel warum.....
In USA gibts sehr viele solcher miniaturisierter Auto Serien. wo die seit Jahrzehnten mit versch. Viertaktern fahren. Von manchen hat hier noch nie einer was gehört.
Die sind so verschieden von unserer Kartszene.........was wir hier machen ist bei denen nur eine Serie von vielen anderen.

Daher machen die ihr eigenes Ding und die Europäer machen ihrs...

In usa gibts bestimmt paar interessante Viertakter, ausser dem Eagle noch.

Aber der ist schon mal Klasse. Und schön einfach gebaut, wies aussieht. Eine Nockenwelle und gut. Kein Kopf wie in der Formel 1 :tongue:

Vergaser ist hinten, oder? Sieht nicht schlecht aus, gerader Ansaugweg, wie gemacht für ne Einspritzung mit variabler Saugrohrlänge. Von wem ist der Versuch?
